What Is Juneteenth?

John was a loyal and faithful father,
brother and friend.
He will be deeply missed.
Each of us is absolutely unique gifts and graces offered to the whole in love. Only you can do it, no one else can. If you don’t do it, the whole is unfulfilled.
F. John Jeannot,
loving father and community leader.
His commitment to peace and justice were at the core of all of his beliefs.
John was a active, engaged parishioner at Immaculate Conception, St Mary’s, and New Hope Baptist Church’s. His commitment to social Justice was exemplified in every aspect of his life.
He was a permanent and indefatigable Volunteer for prison ministry, Juneteenth, Casa Latina, Squire Park Community Council, Jazz Festival and Mothers for Police Responsibility. John participated in rallies and marches to end the war, poverty, racism and local and global inequities including WTO, Martin Luther King Rally, and Black Dollar Days.
He made an impression in many lives and has given inspiration for others to become involved in their communities as well.
Along with all of his community involvement, John loved working on his house, adding and perfecting his personal touches.
